About
Havaianas
Havaianas, pronounced as ah-vai-YAH-nas, the Brazillian
flip-flops that was found in Oscars pack, made their debut
in 1962 in Brazil, inspired by Japanese peasant wear.
The Brazillian lowly flip-flops, worn by blue collar workers,
are now stepping upon international fashion forefront
of New Yok, Milan and Paris, alongside Chanel's, the Dolce
& Gabbana's or the Jean Paul Gaultier's at upmarket
department stores and fashion runways, and gracing the
feet of the stars, supermodels, even President fernando
Henrique Cardoso. |
